Marvel Comics Out on 14 October: The Collector’s Pull-List Starting Points

New comic day lands with another full Marvel slate on Wednesday 14 October 2026, and the publisher’s official weekly list gives readers a useful map through new issues, launches and collected editions.

Among the titles highlighted by Marvel are Doom All-on-One and Iron Man (2026), alongside a story beat introducing new recruits to Hulk’s Infernal Avengers. Rather than treating the whole list as a shopping mandate, collectors can use it as a starting point for a focused pull list.

Start with the book, not the variant

If a title is new to you, read the solicitation and check whether it is a first issue, a jumping-on point or the continuation of a longer arc. A striking cover can be a great collectible, but the issue’s place in the story determines whether it will be satisfying to read on its own.

Variant-cover discipline

Publisher checklists make it easy to see a release date, but individual comic shops may receive different covers or allocations. Decide before buying whether you collect a character, an artist, a ratio incentive or a complete run. That rule is the best defence against turning release-day excitement into duplicate purchases you did not really want.

Check condition at the counter

Look for spine ticks, corner blunting, colour rub and printing defects. If you are buying online, ask how the comic will be packed and whether the photograph shows the actual copy. For higher-value variants, keep the invoice and seller description with your collection notes.

Think in runs, not headlines

A new number one can draw attention, but collectors often get more long-term enjoyment from building a coherent run or following a creative team. This week’s official Marvel list is most useful when cross-checked against what you already own and what you genuinely plan to read.
