Nintendo has released its Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition, a striking black, green and gold console created to mark four decades of Hyrule.

The system features Triforce motifs across the console, Joy-Con 2 controllers and dock. Nintendo has also launched a matching Pro Controller with display stand and a carrying case with screen protector.

The important restriction

The anniversary console announced by Nintendo is a Japanese-language, Japan-only system. It costs ¥62,980 including tax and does not include a game. UK collectors should not mistake an import listing for a normal UK retail edition or assume every account, warranty and language feature will operate identically.

The matching Pro Controller costs ¥12,980 and the case costs ¥3,980 in Japan. Those accessories may be simpler import purchases, but buyers should still check compatibility, taxes, delivery costs and warranty coverage.

What is in the box?

Nintendo lists the special console, two themed Joy-Con 2 controllers, wrist straps, dock, grip, AC adapter, USB-C charging cable and Ultra High-Speed HDMI cable. The design uses subtle green detailing on the controllers and a large gold Triforce composition across the dock.

A collector edition, not a bundle

The absence of a game matters. This is commemorative hardware rather than a software bundle, so the value rests almost entirely in the limited design and anniversary appeal. Import buyers should compare the total landed cost against a standard UK Switch 2 plus themed accessories before paying a reseller premium.
