Disney’s Hexed Tickets Are on Sale as Hailee Steinfeld Records The Cars’ ‘Magic’

Tickets are now on sale for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hexed, the original magical adventure opening exclusively in UK cinemas on 27 November 2026.

Disney has paired the ticket launch with another reveal: lead voice actor Hailee Steinfeld has recorded a new version of The Cars’ hit “Magic”. The track debuted on digital music platforms on 23 October, with the full soundtrack scheduled for 20 November.

What is Hexed about?

Steinfeld voices Billie Doe, an impulsive teenager who discovers hidden magical abilities and is pulled from suburbia into the witch realm of Hexe. She must work with her cautious mother Alice, voiced by Rashida Jones, while confronting family secrets that could reshape the magical world.

The cast also includes Walton Goggins as three-eyed cat Beef Roger Crummchuk, Jodie Foster as Queen Celeste, plus Henry Winkler, Dan Stevens, Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry.

A new Disney world rather than a sequel

For animation fans, the attraction is that Hexed is not another continuation of an existing franchise. Directors Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, co-director Josie Trinidad and producers Roy Conli and Yvett Merino are introducing a new setting, mythology and cast of characters.

Kris Bowers composed the original score, while Walt Disney Animation Studios chief creative officer Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller wrote the film. Disney’s newly released official still offers a strong first look at the scale and colour of Hexe without giving away the story.
