Saturday’s ASACC Seller Showcase visits CanvasCreations and a compact piece of Gotham décor: an Arkham Asylum sign engraved into reclaimed wood and priced at £8.

The sign measures approximately 20cm by 10cm and is designed as a small wall-hanging or shelf display for Batman, Harley Quinn and Joker fans. Because the material is reclaimed wood, the grain, marks and tone are part of the handmade character rather than factory-perfect uniformity.

Why it works as a collector display

Arkham Asylum is one of those fictional locations that needs very little explanation. The name alone connects Batman’s villains, comics, animation and games, making the sign easy to place in a mixed DC display without tying it to one costume or screen version.

At roughly the width of a hardback book, it also suits smaller rooms and convention-haul shelves where a large framed print would take over. The reclaimed timber gives the piece a suitably institutional, weathered look.
