NYCC 2026 Crowns Silwen Cosplay Champion as Giulietta Takes First Place

New York Comic Con has named Silwen Cosplay the winner of its 2026 Cosplay Central Crown Championships of Cosplay. Silwen took first place as Giulietta after the competition brought some of the weekend’s most ambitious builds to the stage.

NYCC announced the result after its 20th-anniversary show closed at New York’s Javits Center on Sunday 11 October. The official winner photograph captures the scale of Silwen’s Giulietta build: an elaborate silhouette, layered detailing and a finish designed to read from the back row as well as close-up.

The NYCC 2026 cosplay winners

  • First place: Silwen Cosplay as Giulietta
  • Second place: Gillian as Lune
  • Third place: Savant Celestial as Mother Miranda

The judges also recognised specialist craft across three categories. Where You At At won Best Armor as Ciri, Bombshell Beckie took Best FX with a Mystique/Gambit fusion, and Annieexmachina won Best Needlework as Gideon the Ninth.

Why this result matters

The Crown Championships are one of the clearest reminders that Comic-Con culture is built by makers as much as publishers and studios. A winning costume has to succeed as character interpretation, wearable engineering and live performance—skills familiar to anyone who has spent months preparing a convention build.

For collectors, the finalist line-up is also a useful inspiration board. Giulietta, Lune, Mother Miranda, Ciri and Gideon the Ninth span games, fantasy and genre fiction, showing just how wide the modern cosplay scene has become.

NYCC has already confirmed that the convention returns from 7–10 October 2027. Until then, explore more geek-culture stories on ASACC and discover makers and traders across the ASACC marketplace.
