Deadpool and Wolverine Get Gold and Silver Collectibles from the Royal Canadian Mint

Deadpool and Wolverine’s Canadian roots are being celebrated in precious metal, with the Royal Canadian Mint and Agoro launching a new officially licensed Marvel collection in gold and silver.

The headline piece is a quarter-ounce collectible struck in 99.99% pure gold. It places Deadpool and Wolverine opposite one another in frosted relief against a matte proof field and is limited to a mintage of just 1,500.

Two Canadian-born Marvel icons

The collection leans into the fictional birthplaces behind the characters: Wade Wilson in Saskatchewan and James Howlett in Alberta. Their shared cinematic popularity gives the concept an obvious hook, but the use of the Royal Canadian Mint makes the geographical theme more than simple packaging.

The gold piece is presented inside a clear acrylic display frame with gold-coloured magnets, in a custom printed tray-and-lid box protected by a hologram authenticity sticker.

Solo silver editions for Deadpool and Wolverine

Two separate one-ounce silver collectibles accompany the gold release. Each is struck in 99.99% fine silver and limited to 10,000 pieces.

Deadpool appears in colour, pointing back at himself in typically self-aware fashion. Wolverine is shown with his claws ready for action. Both portraits sit over detailed maple-leaf engraving, tying the designs back to Canada, while the reverse designs use colour-enhanced character details and a line associated with their big-screen pairing.

The presentation boxes continue the character-led approach, including Deadpool-red packaging and enlarged artwork based on the designs.

Coin, round or pop-culture collectible?

The Royal Canadian Mint describes the pieces as collectibles rather than circulating coins. That distinction matters: the appeal is primarily Marvel licensing, limited mintage, precious-metal content and presentation rather than spending value.

It also puts the release in an interesting space between high-end movie memorabilia and traditional coin collecting. For Marvel collectors who normally buy figures, statues or limited comic variants, numbered precious-metal editions offer a very different kind of scarcity—one backed by both a fixed production figure and the material itself.

The launch follows a particularly busy collector season. ASACC has already looked at Marvel’s plans for New York Comic Con 2026 and the collector interest around Amazing Spider-Man #1000.

Availability

The pieces went on sale on 6 October 2026 through the Royal Canadian Mint, its Ottawa and Winnipeg boutiques, and its dealer network. International collectors should check the Mint’s delivery and regional availability before ordering.

Full specifications and ordering information appear in the official Royal Canadian Mint announcement.
