The Straw Hat Pirates are getting rebuilt brick by brick.

LEGO ONE PIECE arrives on Netflix on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, turning the first two seasons of Netflix’s live-action pirate adventure into a two-part animated LEGO special — and bringing together three enormous fandoms in ONE PIECE, Netflix and LEGO.

What is LEGO ONE PIECE?

The new special retells events from the first two seasons of Netflix’s live-action ONE PIECE. Rather than simply replaying the story, it uses Usopp as its famously unreliable narrator as he tells Tony Tony Chopper about the Straw Hats’ adventures across the East Blue and into the Grand Line.

Netflix says the format was designed both as an accessible way for newcomers to enter the huge world of ONE PIECE and as a fresh, comic take for existing fans.

The live-action Straw Hats return — as minifigures

The crossover keeps a strong link to Netflix’s live-action series. Iñaki Godoy voices Luffy, Emily Rudd returns as Nami, Mackenyu as Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji and Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper.

Showrunner, writer and executive producer Tom Hyndman says having the actors already know their characters gave the team freedom to improvise during recording. Chelsea Ker directs both episodes, while ONE PIECE creator Eiichiro Oda is among the executive producers.

Why collectors should pay attention

This is more than a streaming crossover. LEGO and ONE PIECE are already firmly connected on collectors’ shelves, with official sets based on Netflix’s live-action series and further Season 2 builds expanding the range.

That makes the animated special particularly interesting for ASACC readers: scenes and characters now have a direct path from manga and anime, to live action, to an animated LEGO world, and finally into physical display sets and minifigures.

As always, buy the sets and collectibles you actually enjoy rather than assuming a new screen appearance will automatically increase their value.

When can you watch LEGO ONE PIECE?

Both parts of LEGO ONE PIECE arrive exclusively on Netflix on Tuesday, 29 September 2026. Netflix has also released an official trailer, which can be watched through its own Netflix and Tudum channels.
