NYCC Opens Pro Panels to Fans — Including Portfolio Reviews and Industry Sessions
New York Comic Con is opening part of its professional programme to fans this year. Reservations opened on 5 October for selected Saturday and Sunday sessions through NYCC’s new Aspiring Professional Program.
What changes in 2026?
Professional Programming normally targets Artist Alley creators, writers, press, content creators, exhibitors and other industry badge holders. This year, fans with Single Day or 4-Day Weekend tickets can reserve a limited number of places on participating sessions.
Portfolio reviews and industry knowledge
The wider professional programme includes portfolio reviews involving DC and Marvel comic editors, industry sessions, legal masterclasses, networking and discussions covering comics, publishing, entertainment, retail and fandom.
NYCC says a reservation is only confirmed once the attendee receives the confirmation email, and participating fans should arrive at the Crystal Palace escalators at least 20 minutes before their session.
Why this matters
For artists and creators trying to move from fan tables into professional work, access to genuine industry programming can be more valuable than another celebrity queue. It also makes NYCC’s 2026 programme relevant to the independent creators and Artist Alley community ASACC follows.
