Play-Doh with Margo Turns Screen Time into Hands-On Making

Hasbro’s new Play-Doh with Margo YouTube series is designed to make watching only the start of the activity, inviting preschoolers to build along with each episode.

The weekly series premiered on 30 October on the official Play-Doh YouTube channel. Hasbro says 42 episodes are planned, with versions rolling out in English, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish.

How each episode works

Host Margo begins with a playful “What if…?” question—such as imagining pumpkins that enjoy dressing up or vegetables with superpowers—then turns that prompt into a Play-Doh creation. Songs, games and recurring segments give children clear moments to pause, copy or invent their own version.

  • The Unsquish previews the featured creation.
  • Imaginoodle begins shaping the idea.
  • Switch-Up suggests ways to personalise it.
  • Can-Can Shuffle chooses a making mission, silly song or real-world exploration.

The finished model then becomes the star of a short animated story. That structure is deliberately different from passive autoplay: the screen supplies the prompt, but the creative work happens with the compound in the child’s hands.

A useful toy-content experiment

Toy brands have spent years expanding into video, but Play-Doh with Margo is most interesting when it points back to physical play. For families, it can act as a repeatable activity rather than simply another programme. For toy collectors and retailers, it shows how a heritage product can use creator-led video without abandoning what made the toy distinctive.

Hasbro announced the series on 27 October 2026 and says new instalments will arrive weekly. Read the official Hasbro announcement and press assets.
